Abstract :
A multi-sensor multiuser receiver is proposed in this paper for asynchronous CDMA systems. The receiver consists of multiple sensors, RAKE receivers, channel estimators and a multiuser detector. The proposed receiver improves the signal-to-noise ratio, effectively counteracts the effects of fading and suppresses the multiple access interference. We compare the performance of the multi-sensor RAKE receiver, the conventional multistage detector and our generalized multistage detector with different numbers of sensors by simulations. Finally, the bit-error-rate results for Rayleigh fading channels with different system capacity are presented versus the signal to noise ratio
