Abstract :
An automated response calibration for the Hewlett-Packard Model HP8410 network analyzer system is studied. Response calibration is based on correction of frequency response magnitude and phase system errors. This measurements approach is much faster than the normal VNA 8-term error model because only one standard is required for calibration. System accuracy is comparable to other automated network analyzers. A data acquisition program has been developed to implement response calibration of the HP8410 in order to extend the long-term use of this unit
