Abstract :
The representation of three-dimension seabed terrain with sense of reality had a wide range of application in ocean engineering, which is the basic of submarine environment in virtual reality. Seabed terrain was reconstructed by NURBS from the form of discrete sonar data in this paper and showed perfect expression ability. OpenGL was used to build the seabed terrain from the control points of NURBS surface in this paper, which can meet the demand of engineer application because the high performance of OpenGL. This method can satisfy the real time requirement in engineering application.
