Abstract
The extent of clutter- and noise-limited coverage is calculated as a function of radar platform altitude. A realizable approximation to the `ideal CFAR´ processing scheme is presented. Binary and video integration efficiencies in K-distributed clutter are compared. The benefits of fast-scan integration are demonstrated by calculation. A new processing scheme based upon clutter spatial correlation is outlined and analysed
