Abstract
We consider the problem of an internally stabilizing linear time-invariant controller for a linear time-invariant plant such that a given closed loop transfer function is strictly sector bounded. We show that the standard H∞ control problem and the γ-positive real problem are special cases of the sector bounded control problem. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of controllers are obtained. The strictly proper controllers are given in terms of solutions to AREs or ARIs
