  • Abstract
This paper presents some practical issues to be considered in the PWM control system of a single-phase matrix converter used in a series active filter, avoiding short circuit conditions. The matrix converter is controlled using the four-step strategy, which is built digitally in a FPGA system. The harmonic compensator control is generated by using the single-phase dq theory and it is programmed in a DSpace system. The proposed strategies are verified by means of simulation and experimental results in a 3.6 kW, 127 V, 60 Hz prototype.
