Abstract :
The modular two-loop power plants (SPP) with parabolic trough concentrators (PTC) and photovoltaic modules (PVM) installed on their receivers are described. The PVMs in these plants allow their operation to be made fully autonomous and independent. These thermodynamic plants are intended for water lifting, desalination, heat supply and electricity production. The utilization of PVMs makes them totally autonomous. Two different modular two-loop plants for water pumping and electricity production are presented. In the second type of plant the PVMs installed on the PTC receiver, being an economizer of the second loop, are used with the corresponding equipment for decomposition of water into oxygen and hydrogen, which is a fuel for the auxiliary boiler
