Abstract :
Connecting wind energy system to the utility grid requires high-quality control in order to improve the power quality problem in the system. In this paper, vector control scheme is developed in grid flux oriented reference frame for controlling grid connected PWM inverter. Derivation of PI controller for synchronous current reference to maintain the constant dc link voltage is described. A novel hysteresis current controller is proposed in the inner control loop for controlling current flowing into grid. Also describes the decoupling control of active and reactive power flowing into grid. The proposed control scheme has been developed and analyzed in simulation environment for effectiveness of the study.
