Title :
Use vibration monitoring to identify circuit breakers for condition assessment
Author_Institution :
ABB US Corp. Res. Center, Raleigh, NC
Abstract :
Low-cost noninvasive vibration monitoring methodology to identify potential faulty circuit breakers is studied. Special attentions are given to the sensor selection, data acquisition triggering, and data processing algorithms. Initial implementation and test results show feasibility and improvement potentials of the technology.
