Abstract :
This paper presents a fixed-frequency self- oscillating gate-driver circuit design procedure for electronic ballasts that supply fluorescent lamps. The topology already presented allows a fixed switching frequency of the self-oscillating gate driver circuit to be independent of the inverter load. Design equations, simplifications are performed in order to obtain an appropriated design methodology for this circuit. Experimental results are shown to validate the present design methodology considering the assumptions adopted for this design.
