Abstract :
The thyristor phase controlled rectifier is the worst with respect to power factor and harmonics. Therefore, to reduce the harmonics in the AC line, increase the capacity of the output power and achieve unity power factor, the operation of two groups of four-parallel PWM converters has being proposed. Because of the transformer used for increasing the output power capacity, the coupling effect is generated between adjacent secondary windings. For reducing the coupling effect, a decoupling algorithm based on the modeling of the parallel PWM converter is used. A fuzzy-neural controller for the controlling output voltage of two group of four parallel PWM converters are used. The fuzzy-neural controller is an auto-tuning method for the membership function and rule base of fuzzy controller based on the neural network. The simulation and experimental results show that the performances of the proposed fuzzy-neural controller are much better than those of PI controllers
