  • Abstract
    ASE AS5643 is a high speed data bus which is a set of enhancements to the IEEE 1394b standard, and it is used for military and aerospace vehicle applications. In SAE AS5643, the standard asynchronous streams are used for communication on networks. The article aims at developing the model of data transmission in a single node with Deterministic and Stochastic Petri Nets (DSPN). Furthermore, the performances of the model is simulated by using TimeNet 4.0 software tool, and the relationships among bus throughput, data size, packet size, bandwidth which is pre-assigned and bus utilization are obtained. The article also illustrates the parameters compared with those of IEEE 1394b, and proves that SAE AS5643 meets the needs of military and aerospace vehicle applications much better.
