Abstract :
In this paper, a novel blind and robust image watermarking algorithm based on Region of Interest (ROI) in Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) domain is proposed. In a watermarking scheme, watermark generation from the content of the image can improve the invisibility and robustness of the scheme. So in this paper, the ROI of original image is extracted and used as watermark image. Then, 1-level DWT is applied to the watermark and each LL coefficient is embedded into the low frequency sub band of a selected block of the original image. It is shown that the proposed scheme provides high degree of security and transparency of the watermarked image. In addition, this technique is highly robust against common attacks spatially JPEG compression with the low quality factors.
