Abstract :
A lifetime evaluating method of variable accelerated factor was proposed based on the characteristic of ageing of fuse. This method was more accurate and effective to evaluate lifetime of fusible element than the method of constant accelerated factor. According to this method, a lifetime test and evaluation system was developed. This system can execute accelerated ageing test, collect the precise and comprehensive test data, and analyse and process those test data to predict the lifetime of the fuse. Finally, an example of lifetime evaluation by means of variable accelerated factor for a type 5A fuse was given to verify the effectiveness of the evaluation methods.
