Abstract :
This paper presents an adaptive predictive control strategy based on the Laguerre function sequence for the Chopper cascade speed control system. The principles and algorithms for this adaptive control strategy are introduced briefly. The simulation results of the chopper cascade speed control system demonstrated that the design of the strategy does not rely on accurate mathematical models. The strategy has not only the property of a faster response, smaller overshoot, but also a better disturbance rejection capability than PID controllers.
