Abstract :
A miniaturized chopper for fiber optical multimode applications has been developed at the Institut fur Mikrostrukturtechnik at Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe. Transmittance is modulated by a piezo electric driven shutter, moving in a gap between two multimode fibers.
