Abstract :
The nanocrystalline materials have attracted considerable interest because of their specific physical properties differing from those of polycrystalline or amorphous materials which have the same chemical composition. Owing to the combination of a low magnetostriction and a high saturation magnetization, Fe-Si alloy have been the subject of many researchers. The Fe-Si alloys are useful functional materials also, which are used as semiconductors, thermoelectric materials and photoelectric materials. In this paper, we have investigated the evolution of the Fe-Si alloy structure and phase transformations by mechanical alloying and preparation of nanocrystalline Fe-Si alloy.
