Abstract
The issue of transmitting downlink multiple signals in the smart antenna system is addressed here. By non-coherent superposition of the field, the equivalent feed model of the antenna arrays is established under multi-user condition, which is proved to be effective when transmitting multiple co-channel signals to several receivers. Based on that model, the feasibility and efficiency of accomplishing phase-shift and amplitude-weight in base-band signal processing unit is also discussed. Finally, for the case of MSK modulation, the downlink implementation scheme of the smart antenna system is presented
