Abstract :
The particularity of driving environment and antiskid performance of pavement are important factors which influence traffic safety at some particular road sections such as entrances and exits of tunnels, continuous curves, large longitudinal slopes and toll gates. In recent years, a kind of thin-layer antiskid colored pavement has been widely used at these particular road sections, which plays an important role in reducing traffic accidents and improving the antiskid ability (wet-skid resistance and side-skid resistance) of pavement. Firstly, the paper systemically reviewed the updated research progress of application technology of thin-layer antiskid colored pavement internationally and nationally with respect to the preparation of antiskid colored pavement material, skid resistance performance evaluation, performance measurement technique, construction technology and pavement setting techniques. Secondly, the relationship between this pavement and traffic accident is stated. On this basis, some key problems needed to be solved in the study of thin-layer antiskid colored pavement are pointed out. Finally, the future development and research directions of thin-layer antiskid colored pavement are discussed.
