Abstract :
A kind of improved adaptive bit loading algorithm for OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) underwater acoustic communication system is proposed. This algorithm improves the classical bit loading algorithm of Fischer algorithm, and it fixes the shortcomings of Fischer algorithm. For the underwater acoustic channel, the improved algorithm has a better BER (Bit Error Ratio) performance and less calculation than Fischer algorithm.
