Abstract :
A panoramic image can be effectively and fast unwrapped without significant decrease in resolution of image details by using backward mapping and bilinear interpolation, with unwrapping taking 24ms, which satisfies the processing standard of 40 frames/s and can be applied in real-time monitoring systems. A transformation relationship between pixel and Pan-Tilt (PT) is also given by the pixel position in panoramic image and the angular transformation to PT of spatial imaging target. With coordinate transformation, we can control Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera to gaze the area which we concerned on in the panoramic image. The results indicate that the PTZ camera based on the location of the object in the panoramic image realizes automatic alignment and acquires image with small field of view to resolve details of the object.
