Abstract :
A kind of annual ring microstrip antenna operating at higher mode, the pattern of which covers the lower elevation angle area is described. The pattern in the azimuthal plane is directional with some ripple. A qualitative method is employed to analyse why the ripple emerges. A simply way is adopted to reduce the ripple
