Abstract :
Reduced power consumption without compromising signal quality is a key requirement in optimizing the design of wearable telesensors. This paper investigates the potential advantage gained by increasing the active area of the photodetector in minimizing the power consumption of a reflectance type pulse oximeter sensor.
