  • Abstract
This paper considers the networked control systems (NCSs) that the maximum amount of successive data-packet dropout is known. We propose a new communication architecture with a buffer for dealing with network-induced delay of NCSs. The new compensating approach for processing packet dropouts is presented. According to historical state information, the state compensating approach can estimate the present state of NCSs. By the dynamic programming algorithm and the state compensating approach, we construct a network-based optimal control sequence with respect to a discrete quadratic performance index. Furthermore, an implementation algorithm of the optimal control is given. A numeric example shows the effectiveness of the new compensating approach.
