Abstract :
Piano tuners of all skill levels use electronic tuning devices to assist them in their tuning. These devices provide visual feedback to the user about the state of the note being tuned. A tactile output system was created, enabling the visually impaired piano tuner to be able to use an electronic tuning device. Signals from the tuning device are used to drive vibrating motors in an armband worn by the user.
