Abstract
Wireless communications have undergone a tremendous growth in recent years. With systems for mobile analog and digital cellular telephony, radio paging, and microwave/satellite broadcasting becoming widespread, next generation wireless communications systems such as wireless ATM (WATM) will be required to support the seamless delivery of voice, video and data with high quality. In this context, applying mobile IP in wireless ATM networks is intended to be a direct extension of the existing fixed/wireline broadband networks with uniform end-to-end QoS guarantees
