Abstract :
Herein, the preparation of amino-functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) by a two step reaction is described. First step is a one pot reaction for attaching the cyanide groups on the surfaces of MWCNTs and in second step, cyanide groups are reduced to -CH2NH2 in the presence of LiAlH4. The functionalized MWCNTs are characterized in detail using Raman, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis.
