Abstract :
In this paper, we used Web Services to build EAM system instead of the traditional component-oriented EAM systems which were difficult to maintain and expand because of its high coupling degree among components. The EAM system based on Web Services packaged system functions into Web Services in different granularity, and invoked services according to business process scheduled. It built a new Enterprise Assets Management Model of high reusability, easy to integrate and manage, fast respond and deploy, loosely coupled, seamless communication upon cross-platform. The application example demonstrates that, Web Service greatly improved the scalability of EAM and enabled enterprises to maximize the advantage of existing information system to reduce costs, increase reuse and improve the performance of enterprise.
