Abstract
An adaptive variable structure is presented for a maneuvering target intercepts during terminal guidance. A new expression of zero effort miss is derived. The adaptive variable structure guidance is designed using the zero effort miss which is treated as switching surface. The guidance system´s stability against maneuvering target is proved by the second method of Lyapunov. Simulation results show that the presented guidance guarantees perfect intercept for maneuvering target and has good robustness.
