Abstract
This paper outlines a new approach for accurately evaluating the reliability of a complex, highly reliable system for which neither analytical methods nor conventional simulations are feasible. The reliability is simulated in a feasible parameter region, and then rational interpolation (RI) is used to calculate the desired reliability. Numerical experiments are presented to validate the feasibility of this method. It has been demonstrated that the RI approach is very effective in providing a highly accurate result for the system reliability.
