Abstract :
Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANET) is an open ad hoc network which has been a research focus, and plays an important role on road safety, traffic information service and so on. There is diverse information in VANET such as spatial information, GPS data which can be used to obtain better traffic service. In the paper, the Bayesian Networks (BN) is utilized to fuse different information to get accurate traffic status estimate. The information fusion not only includes spatial topology information and time information, but also the most common GPS speed information. The case and experimental results shows that the method can acquire more accurate traffic information, and perform well under insufficient scenes.
