Abstract :
The form of mixed use settlements is largely been used under the urbanization nowadays in the Yangtze River Delta. Such bottom-up form was reconstructed spontaneously to reach the need of residents for space using and economic benefits, but such changing brings lots of disadvantages including the loss of the place spirit, social disorder, which is contrary to the overall macro-level view of the urban development strategy. Therefore, The research on the mixed use settlements, which extracting the unit prototype for reforming is more helpful for mitigating the disadvantage from the spontaneous behavior. What´s more, from unit to group is better to implement the strategies of the urban development.
