Abstract :
The opportunities for the application of field emission cathodes for effective conversion of microwave power to DC are investigated. The significant influence of transit time effects on the conversion efficiency is demonstrated. The optimal transit angle is calculated and the main parameters of the device are obtained. It is demonstrated that at a frequency of 10 GHz, the efficiency achieves 60% at an output power of 4.3 kW.
