            Abstract :
Gas pipeline leakage accidents often happen and cause loss of property and life. Thus the emergency-repair is very important. To ensure safety during the gas pipeline emergency-repair, it´s necessary to detect the gas concentration in the working place. Existing detection method needs special worker detect the field gas concentration with the hand-held detection equipment. The detection work is not only boring but also a waste of manpower, and at the same time it is inconvenient to monitor a large field. So a new kind of detection method which can provide real-time and large area detection is necessary. In order to solve this situation, this paper introduces a new monitoring system using wireless sensor network technology in the gas detection, which can tremendously help the repair work.
