Abstract :
A control scheme for single-input-single-output (SISO) discrete-time nonlinear systems is presented. The scheme allows the tracking of a specified trajectory with a dynamics specified by a tracking reference model. The effect of disturbances on the process output can also be eliminated, with a dynamics imposed by a regulation model. The approach considered is applied to a discrete-time model of a chemical reactor. The results show that the control structure has very good properties with respect to process parameter uncertainties and plant disturbances
