            Abstract : 
Based on the analysis of PID algorithm and generalized predictive control algorithm (GPC), the performance index of generalized predictive control algorithm was restructured as PID form. The derivation of PID-type generalized predictive control algorithm (PIDGPC) was given. The influence of PID-type generalized predictive controller parameter tuning on system performance was analyzed in time domain with simulations. Compared conventional generalized predictive control algorithm, PID-type generalized predictive control algorithm has better control performance.
