Abstract :
Summary form only given. Demand response is a proven and successful tool for utilities and for their customers. The interest in demand response programs is unprecedented. In the last 5 years, we have seen tremendous growth in installed DR solutions. We expect this growth to continue and increase. Demand response is a cost effective, rapidly deployed resource that provides benefits to utilities and customers. This presentation will discuss the effective business models being used to create this unprecedented growth as well as analyze the tools and technologies being deployed and developed which make demand response an integral part of the SmartGrid initiatives that many utilities are pursuing.
