Abstract :
A method of modelling the effects of clutter upon airborne radar systems has been described which is computationally efficient. This method has been implemented in the form of the computer program Caspar and can be applied to a variety of airborne radar geometries and operating modes. The achievable accuracy is considered to be commensurate with the requirements of a system tool. The assessment criteria provided by this software include clutter obscuration analyses and detection probability versus range
