Abstract :
House of Quality(HoQ) is an effective way to transform customer requirement into technical solution, aiming at helping R&D department of manufacturers to design products tailored to recent market requirement. Traditional HoQ relies highly on large-scale market survey data, which in reality costs extremely high for manufacturer. In this paper, rather than applying survey data, we propose a novel Social-media based House of Quality (S-HoQ) specifically transforming users´ buzz on social media platform as well as users´ comments on on-line shopping mall into technical solution based on traditional HoQ architecture. S-HoQ improves traditional HoQ by proposing four innovative components: 1) topic classification method; 2) new customer requirement importance creation method; 3) absolute importance creation method; 4) optimization model for technical mix.
