Abstract
Using semi-analytical finite element method, this paper solves the problem of ribbed cylindrical shell construction´s stability with quadratic spline-beam element. Displacement model of quadratic spline-beam element is established, elastic stiffness matrix and geometric stiffness matrix of the element is deduced, and the stability of ribbed cylindrical shell construction is analysed. Analysis results show that, this method has good convergence speed and accuracy, calculation results fit with classic Misse solution and experimental value. This paper provides an efficient method for stability analysis of ribbed cylindrical shell construction.
