Abstract :
A single circuit architecture to support BPSK, OQPSK, spectrally-efficient FQPSK and spectrally-efficient constant-envelope FQPSK-KF is described. Classical binary phase shift keying (BPSK) and offset quadrature phase shift keying (OQPSK), as well as spectrally-efficient FQPSK (filtered quadrature phase shift keying) constant envelope FQPSK-KF (filtered quadrature phase shift keying-Kato-Feher) are discussed. Waveshaping for increased spectral efficiency using ROM lookup table implementation is explored. A single circuit implementation is described to provide digital baseband modulation for all of the modulation formats discussed
