Abstract :
Like feedback strategy, coding scheme is an important part of networked control system designing as well. In this paper, we design the feedback law to minimize the channel rate required to stabilize the system when the coding scheme is restricted to be memoryless. The main point is to write the feedback gain matrix as an explicit expression of the closed-loop eigenstructure data. Then the constraint imposed by the memoryless coding scheme on the channel rate is written into an analytical form, and the problem is reformulated into a standard optimization problem, which can be solved using numerical method.
