Abstract :
A model by considering the pile-pile interaction as elasticity was discussed, and the shear displacement method was adopted to analyze the interaction between the reaction piles and the test pile in layered soils. The modified load-settlement curves show that the interaction between the reaction piles and the test pile has an influence on the settlement of the test pile. The difference in the modified settlement and the settlement derived from load test increases significantly with increasing load acted on the test pile. It also can be concluded that the modified ultimate bearing capacity of the test pile is smaller than the measured value, which will cause the safety factor of test pile overestimated.
