Abstract
Based on the AUTOBANK Program, this paper makes the numerical simulation calculation of the seepage distribution in the Donggou tailing, getting the distribution figures about pressure head equipotential lines, velocity vector distribution and wetting front location under different conditions; On this basis, it quantitatively calculates the stability of the tailing dam using the Sweden Arc Method by determining the parameters of the dam such as Main profile, load, elevation, etc and calculates the stability factors under different cases when the current elevation of dam is 109.5 m.The results indicate that all the stability factors are more than the security values that the specification allows and the dam is stable. But when the elevation continues to increase to 129.3 m, the actual stability coefficient of the dam under normal circumstances is about 1.19, which is lightly lower than the specified value 1.20, the dam is in a limit steady state and still needs to be reinforced. The results are in good consistent with the actual steady state of the dam, which provides the theory basis for the stability analysis and daily maintenances of the tailing dam.
