Abstract :
Based on the fact that the longitudinal cracks occurring in the hollow slab bridge in practical using, this paper discusses the torsional rigidity changes after cracking, and finds out the general equation about the transverse distribution coefficient of the cracked hollow slab bridge. After analysing the transverse distribution coefficient of the cracked slab, the change law of the transverse distribution coefficient is found. When the lane was arranged at the side of near the mid-span, the transverse distribution coefficient will become smaller, contrarily bigger. When the plate number is odd number and the crack occurring only in the mid-plate, then the transverse distribution coefficient will not change. Calculating the transverse distribution coefficient of an old bridge according to this theory, the result shows that the measured value fits the calculated value well, so the method of calculating the transverse distribution coefficient of the cracked hollow slab bridge is feasible.
