Abstract :
This paper presents a novel approach for total transfer capability (TTC) determination based on sensitivity analysis. The proposed method directly takes into account reactive power flow, and handles variation of voltage magnitudes on both sides of a transmission line. In addition, a new power flow solution is proposed to account for the variation of power transfer analysis. The proposed modification on the Jacobian matrix is employed to cope with the n-1 contingency analysis. The method results in satisfactory accuracy with fairly short computation time
