Abstract :
Now electroplating is one of the three major pollution industries. The amount of effluent from electroplating industry is account for about 10% of the total industrial effluent, and less than 50% of the electroplating effluent were treated effectively before discharged. Using chemical reduction precipitation and NaHSO3 as reducing agent to treat simulated electroplating effluent containing Cr(VI) were researched in this paper. The results indicated that the treatment efficiency was higher using lime to adjust pH than that of NaOH when the amount of NaHSO3 was 1.4 times more than that of the theoretical amount, pH 2.0, contact time 20 min. And lime has the characteristics of dense precipitation, good sedimentation and low cost.
