Abstract :
Summary form only given. This article consists of a collection of slides from the author´s PowerPoint conference presentation. It is concluded that: (1) Network operators need to provide open interfaces to their networks. (2) Support for 3rd party applications helps operators to enrich their networks with attractive services. (3) New infrastructure is needed for new paradigms. (4) There is no loss of responsibilities or customer relationship, but new business opportunities (even for the operator).
