Abstract :
In this paper, a TE6,2 quasi-optical mode converter (the Volasov type) is proposed and studied which consists of a launcher, a parabolic mirror and an elliptic-parabolic mirror. The resulting beam, which is expected a Gaussian type one, is projected on the window plane at last. The calculations indicates that the mode converter has a converting efficiency more than 85% and that Gaussian content in the field on the window plane is over 70%. Optimal geometric parameters of the converter are obtained by the code written based on the geometric optics and the vector diffraction theory.
