Abstract :
This paper develop Spatial Econometric Model analyzed the dynamic relationship between provincial carbon emissions and the international trade in China. The results confirm that China provincial carbon emissions are characterized by spatial dependence, which mean that carbon emissions are affected by both local and adjacent provincial emissions. The contiguity correlation also shows a characteristic of spatial clustering. The elasticity of international trade to carbon emissions is significant and positive, and population growth and technology progress are also main influencing factors. Technology progress plays a relatively important role in controlling and decreasing emissions, therefore, apart from generating carbon reducing and energy price controls policies, the authorities should actively consider the regional cooperation of low-carbon technology, and the differential spatial mechanism to the carbon emissions from the view of international trade should also be considered.
